Amanda Homen D.P.T., B. Sc. Kin

Registered Physiotherapist

Amanda is a graduate from the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at D’Youville College (2016). She previously completed her Bachelor of Science honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Science at York University (2012). Prior to beginning her D.P.T program, she worked at Aurora Prime Physiotherapy as a Kinesiologist. She now re-joins the Aurora Prime team as a resident physiotherapist, eager to help her patients gain optimal functioning in their everyday lives.

Amanda has always had an interest in working with the private orthopaedic population. She completed her orthopaedic internships alongside a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual Physical Therapy (FCAMPT) and an Orthopedic certified specialist (OCS). She is a supporter of continuing education and an advocate of evidence-based practice; she is excited that her journey of learning as a physiotherapist is a lifelong process.

She has special interest in manual therapy and pelvic floor therapy and already initiated taking courses in these specialized fields. In her spare time she enjoys attending barre and hot yoga classes and spending time with family and friends. She believes in a balanced lifestyle, promoting health and fitness in the prevention of injury and optimization of function.
