Heather Ritchie M.Sc.P.T, B.Sc.Kin, Dip. Manip.PT, FCAMPT
Heather graduated from the University of Toronto’s Masters of Physical Therapy program in 2004 and holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree (Kinesiology focus) from McMaster University. She has been working at Aurora Prime Physiotherapy since 2008. Since graduation, Heather has been involved in Orthopaedic private practice with a focus on manual therapy and exercise. Prior to joining the team in Aurora, Heather worked as a physiotherapist in Long-Term Care and continues to enjoy working with seniors.
In 2011, Heather received her Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy (Orthopaedic Division) and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy f Manual Physical Therapy (FCAMPT). She has also obtained her certification in Integrative Dry Needling.
Heather has volunteered as a physiotherapist with Skate Canada and was privileged to have the opportunity to be part of the medical team, both at the Canadian National Figure Skating Championships and the World Figure Skating Championships in 2013. Heather continues to be involved in figure skating, fitness and enjoys the reward of seeing her clients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
